Equanimity
Equanimity grew out of the chaos of being in an MFA program after working on my own for a number of years. I had just moved to Seattle with my two small children- we were living in my sisters basement, while looking for a home. I was trying to hold on to my own direction as an artist. To be still in the face of such confusion. Joseph from the bible was a big influence- the way he was able to make the best of situations. I think that the broom handle on the left might be me.
